What role does graphic design play in confronting social and ecological challenges?
Join Frith Kerr, award winning founder of Studio Frith, and Isabel Lea, Design Researcher in Residence at the Design Museum, for an in-depth conversation on practice, process and progress in contemporary graphic design.
The talk builds on Isabel’s work as part of Islands, this year’s residency programme hosted by Future Observatory at the Design Museum.
Frith Kerr
Frith is an award-winning graphic designer and founder of Studio Frith, celebrated for its original work and exceptional clients. “The go-to graphic designer for creative clients" — New York Times. Frith believes in the power of design as a creative strategic tool to develop and evolve businesses. She is a trustee of the Arts Foundation and a member of the Alliance Graphique Internationale.
Isabel Lea
Isabel is a creative director, graphic designer, researcher and co-founder of multidisciplinary design agency ATYPICAL. In 2018-2019, she was Adobe's first UK Creative Resident. She has also worked with agencies in the UK, USA and Scandinavia for clients including Panasonic, Adobe, Bang & Olufsen and The Danish Embassy. She is a Design Researcher in Residence at the Design Museum.
