Dr Jane Scott is a Newcastle University Academic Track Fellow (NUAcT) who leads the Living Textiles Research Group in the Hub for Biotechnology in the Built Environment.
Her research positions textiles as a critical biofabrication strategy in the development of biohybrid materials and composites for architecture. Through large-scale prototyping her group has established the protocols for knit/mycelium architecture and precedents for 100% waste resource for biofabrication.
