Dr Angela Davies is an Associate Professor in textile and garment technology at De Montfort University, Leicester.
Angela’s PhD focused on sustainable incontinence product development for residential and hospital use. She has been principal and co-investigator working on numerous knowledge exchange projects working with the textile community both regionally and internationally on product performance, innovation and sustainable practices.
She is programme leader for MSc Sustainable Textile Technologies a multidisciplinary course which brings scientists, designers and engineers together with a common interest in sustainable and innovative textile technologies. She also leads postgraduate sustainability teaching embedding knowledge and best practice to the student community.
Angela is an active member of TEAM (Textile Engineering and Materials) research group with a focus on product performance and innovation, material longevity, sustainable practices and end of life management of textiles.
