Peter Booth

Design Exchange Partnerships 2023

Peter is a Senior Research Assistant in the School of Creative Arts at the University of Hertfordshire.

Peter has a background in microbiology, biochemistry and design and is completing his doctorate at the University of Hertfordshire researching bioprotective strategies for built heritage under threat from climate change.  He is currently working on designing self-healing biomineralisation strategies for traditional materials facing extreme weather erosion in island and coastal communities.

 Peter has a background in biosciences and building design, and an MA in Design, and MSc in Microbiology.  Prior to moving into research he worked across financial and technology industries for Fortune 500 Companies in UK, US and Asia.
