Green Transition Ecosystems 2023

Professor Pete Walker is a Principal Investigator for Transforming Housing and Homes for Future Generations.

This is one of the four Green Transition Ecosystems, part of the Future Observatory: Design the Green Transition Programme, funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (£4.6 million, AHRC, 2023-25).

Pete is a leading scholar in the Department of Architecture and Civil Engineering at the University of Bath in sustainable construction materials and building technologies. With extensive experience in researching and developing the use of bio-based and other natural building materials, his work profoundly impacts shaping the sustainable built environment. Pete’s contributions to academia and practise are invaluable.
