Yasmin is an early career researcher and educator.
Yasmin is an early career researcher who has spent the majority of her career in education of one form or another, from a baby house in Israel, through to managing a nursery in North Yorkshire via a stint teaching in China. Recently she has worked in the HE sector, lecturing on Early Childhood Studies and primary Education degree programmes.
Her research has included: exploring the representation of family within comics for the very young for her MEd; working as a research assistant looking at the impact of early interventions on language development; project assistant on From Local To Global – which attempted to decolonise a museum collection within Scarborough Museums & Galleries; and as a project lead on a collaborative piece with Coventry University and Scarborough Museums & Galleries, Scarborough Atlas, developing heritage trails in the area using items from the collection.
