Yasmin Stefanov-King

Design Exchange Partnerships 2023

Yasmin is an early career researcher and educator.

Yasmin is an early career researcher who has spent the majority of her career in education of one form or another, from a baby house in Israel, through to managing a nursery in North Yorkshire via a stint teaching in China. Recently she has worked in the HE sector, lecturing on Early Childhood Studies and primary Education degree programmes.

Her research has included:  exploring the representation of family within comics for the very young for her MEd; working as a research assistant looking at the impact of early interventions on language development; project assistant on From Local To Global – which attempted to decolonise a museum collection within Scarborough Museums & Galleries; and as a project lead on a collaborative piece with Coventry University and Scarborough Museums & Galleries, Scarborough Atlas, developing heritage trails  in the area using items from the collection.
