Dr. Mingyu Zhu is an urban data scientist and researcher.
Mingu’s research is exploring how social, civic, and environmental infrastructure adapts to increasing urbanisation and societal transitions.
He holds a PhD from the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Geospatial Systems at Newcastle University. His research employs innovative urban big data analysis, participatory social surveys, and machine learning/statistical methods.
Mingu is particularly passionate about cross-disciplinary collaborations that bridge engineering, social science, and art & design, focusing on the design, construction, and management of urban built environments to enhance sustainability, inclusiveness, and resilience.
